Director: Lian Lunson (USA – 2005)
Lunson’s poignant documentary covers the tribute concert to Leonard Cohen at the Sydney Opera House, where deft performances from the likes of Nick Cave, Jarvis Cocker, Rufus Wainwright and Beth Orton are interspersed with behind the scenes interviews with Cohen himself, reflecting on his colourful past and creative process. The only downer is the ubiquitous appearance of Bono. That apart, it’s sure to please die-hard fans and the newly initiated. Extras include a conversation with Leonard Cohen and rehearsal footage.
